There was a time I thought as you do

So many times I have heard your story.

It’s my story too.

Times we thought we walked in glory.

I assured myself as you do.

How blind we were not, to see the truth.

One day a glimmer of light finally shone through.

Then the search began.

I looked into my past for understanding.

Not for others but for me.

Why do I do, what I am doing?

You can’t find it in a book, or another person.

Look into your heart and mind.

There you will find the answers you seek.

You ramble through your memories, especially the painful ones.

There are more answers there, then one may want to remember.

Step outside yourself and really honestly take a look, at what you are doing.

Then ask why?

You can lie to the rest of the world, if you want to I suppose,

It’s not all that important what the rest of the world thinks anyway.

Whatever you do, never lie to yourself.

You are after all the most important of all.

Value yourself, you are one of a kind.

So many people try kidding themselves into believing,

all sorts of things, that are not real.

What is real anyway the wind, the sun, the stars above?

Maybe we are dreaming.

When you look up at night, so peaceful are the stars.

Are they really there?

Or is it only the light left, long after they have vanished from existence.

Can you really believe what you see?

What you see may not be there after all.

What you see in yourself, maybe it is just a feeling left after the torment.

The sun can cast a shadow or radiate it’s warmth upon you.

It reaches through your despair

The sun is there everyday.

The light within is always somewhere close, even if you can’t always feel it.

Find it, let it shine for the entire world to see.

Those who seek the light will find you.

When you find the light within yourself, you will never let it go.

When you find the light in others, you will cherish them.

Reach for those with the light, they will guide you.

Love is the light you seek.

Let it shine through your despair.

Let it reach the one you Love.
